Is crypto still a little difficult for you to get a handle on? You’re not alone if so. It’s a complicated subject, with lots of terms. It’s also built on the back of yet more complicated systems. The name is derived from “cryptography,” after all. And while you can just like stuff like NFTs without going too deep into the subject, there is an easier way to learn about it than just wandering through the internet. Instead of that, start with a book.
Spoilers: this short article isn’t going to answer the premise of the article. Further spoiler: so many people have discussed this that know more than I do. But an introduction to an idea, or even repetition of common talking points, is fertile ground for thinking of something more deeply.
As long as you make sure to be careful of scams, and that you keep a secure crypto wallet, you can just like NFTs. It can just be an interest you have. Really. You don’t need to know all of the technical jargon. It’s okay.

As humanity makes better tools, it’s imperative we continue to think about who the tools are for. Not what the tool does, but who benefits from the tools.
No one would call the last several years “normal,” but a few things have remained constant; a few theories of life were as expected. But I think it’s safe to declare 2023 the last “normal year” when it comes to technology—and that’s really only rounding to the end of the year for the sake of this article.
A.I.s, like ChatGPT, are not “intelligent” in the way that term implies. They are extremely powerful tools that we are only beginning to explore their full uses and how quickly they will become part of our day-to-day lives—if they haven’t already.
