Is crypto still a little difficult for you to get a handle on? You’re not alone if so. It’s a complicated subject, with lots of terms. It’s also built on the back of yet more complicated systems. The name is derived from “cryptography,” after all. And while you can just like stuff like NFTs without going too deep into the subject, there is an easier way to learn about it than just wandering through the internet. Instead of that, start with a book.
Yep, a book. Multiple books, preferably. Ironically, the almost exclusively digital subjects that are crypto and NFTs are the subject of plenty of written media. People have written many, many books on the subject and they are not difficult to find.
But you may be asking me, Brandon, why would that be better? Well, it’s not always better. There are places online that are very beginner-friendly. But books—especially for newer people—have three big positive qualities.
The first is that a singular book is laid out in such a way that you get drip-fed information at a pace that won’t seem overwhelming (assuming it’s a well-presented nonfiction book).
The second is that it’s contained in one place that’s easily referenced whenever you want—though that maybe me simply touting the general benefits of any book.
And the third you may not have thought about—but with how many articles I’ve written about scams, it’s obvious to me. A physical book has no links that you can click on and no place to enter personal data. For those learning about safety, it’s a safe place to begin.
Then, once done, you can really appreciate and enjoy the various online resources that may have seemed too intense before. You’re ready for them. It can truly become a smoother, more fun, and less stressful process—all thanks to books.
